Growth Vision Progress Update
Work Well Underway on Phase One
The renovation and modernizing of the Scott Church School Building is proceeding quickly. This Growth Vision Building Project has been eagerly anticipated since last spring when the congregation approved the project. The program marks a milestone in preparing the Baptist Church in the Great Valley for future growth.
Goals of the renovation project:
1. Upgrade the heating, air conditioning and electrical systems.
The old oil-fired boiler has been replaced by a new energy efficient gas heating system, and new insulation and lighting fixtures will be added throughout the building. When the work is completed, significant savings will be realized by these changes, as well as by consolidating the "daily use" offices into a single heating zone
2. Make our building accessible for everyone.
The addition of an elevator and ADA-compliant restrooms will allow people with limited mobility to feel more welcome and more easily use our facilities.
3. Create more modern, comfortable, and attractive meeting rooms.
As our church moves forward, families with infants and young children will enjoy more cheerful and comfortable education and nursery rooms that are an essential part of a more welcoming environment.
