The Baptist Church in the Great Valley is proud to be involved with an exciting ministry known as REACT. REACT is a non-profit organization which receives and distributes donated food to people in need. Mabel Purcell, President of REACT, works closely with the Tredyffrin Police Department as well as the Upper Mainline Ministerium to identify families in need or those needing emergency assistance. REACT gives food to 60-80 families per month. 75% of these people are senior citizens and the remaining 25% are families with young children.

The Church participates in the REACT program not only at Holiday times, but throughout the entire year. The Baptist Church in the Great Valley provides space for the REACT Food Closet, which is organized and maintained entirely by REACT. In addition, the Church collects food for REACT from members of the congregation on the first Sunday of every month.

The Baptist Church in the Great Valley is pleased and proud to be a part of the REACT program. We are indeed fortunate to have Mabel Purcell in our community leading this exciting and much needed ministry.
