America For Christ (AFC) Offering
Members of the Baptist church in the Great Valley join millions of Christians around our nation in the America of Christ Offering. The AFC offering is sponsored by the National Ministries division of ABC - USA and 100% of the gifts support the following Program Ministry efforts:
Caring Ministries & Prophetic Justice
- Children in Poverty (CIP)
- Neighborhood Action Programs (20% of National Ministries' portion)
- Christian Citizen Magazine
- Chaplaincy Programs
- Volunteer Ministries
Discipleship & Transformation
- Partnerships with ABCUSA Colleges and Seminaries
- Student Campus Ministries
- National Youth Conferences (about every four years)
- Judson Press Discipleship resources
Evangelism & New Church Planting
- National Evangelism team (NET) Training & Grants
- New Church Planting Training and resources
- Phoenix Initiative
- New Church Initiatives (Clark Grants)
Intercultural Ministries
- Intercultural (Multiracial) Seminars and Workshops
- Refugee Resettlement Initiatives (e.g., Burmese)
- Immigration concerns and Advocacy
- Gender and Cultural conferences for Church Leaders

What BCGV does
BCGV members participate in the AFC offering during March of each year. During 2011 BCGV members contributed $1,222 to the AFC offering. Totals for 2012 are being prepared.

You can support the America for Christ offering by sending your check to BCGV, Attn.: Financial Secretary, marking your check for America For Christ. While the AFC offering is received during March, the need is great and contributions are welcome at any time of the year.
