November 8 Family Sunday Mission Project

On Sunday, November 8, BCGV will host a special Family Sunday mission project!

After our 10:30 worship service, we’ll gather to prepare “Blessing Bags” for the backstretch workers at Parx Racetrack. These bags are a small but meaningful way to share our care and appreciation with the people who work behind the scenes to keep the racetrack running.

Some personal care items for the bags have already been collected. Now, the Mission Board needs your help to get the bags ready for completion!

Here’s how you can help

Donate candy! We’re especially looking for full-size candy bars or bags of candy to add to the snacks the Mission Board is providing. Please bring your donations to church on the 8th (or before).

Stay after worship and help! Together, we’ll write encouraging messages for the bags, including messages in Spanish, and add the snacks and candy. The Mission Board will then complete the bags later by adding the other items already collected.

Whether you bring candy, lend a hand, or do both, you’ll be helping us share a little joy and encouragement with the backstretch workers. Let’s make this Family Sunday a fun and meaningful opportunity to put our faith into action together and continue our support of the Racetrack’s ministry!
