What happens when you ask an Imam, your own American Baptist pastor, and an AME…
Sunday, January 11, 2026, was a very special day for us. Karen Smith, the Area Director for Africa at American Baptist International Ministries, came to bring us a wonderful sermon, at both the 9:00am zoom service and at the 10:30am in-person service. Then, after a lovely luncheon of international dishes, Ms. Smith showed us a powerpoint presentation of some of her missionary partners in DR Congo and Kenya. The photographs were beautiful and the stories poignant and endearing. The children prepared cello bags with pencils, paper, stickers, erasers, and mini-kaleidoscopes and wrote notes for the children Ms. Smith will be visiting soon in Madagascar. She was thrilled to be able to take these bags with her on her upcoming trip to Africa.
We were so grateful for her visit.
