We’re collecting snacks for students at Eastern University and for our own Great Valley Food Cupboard.

The “Two-for-Two” Snack Drive is a way for our church family to help address food insecurity facing both college students and families who are served by our own Food Cupboard by providing easy, grab-and-go snacks that are healthy and conveniently packaged. The ‘two-fer’ aspect allows us to split the donations, providing a supply to both Eastern’s “Eagles Essentials” food cupboard and our own Great Valley Food Cupboard. With these two groups in mind, we launched the “Two-for-Two Snack Drive” in Fall of 2024 and have now conducted 3 successful drives, one each semester. For this spring semester, we are once again collecting healthy snacks, starting this Sunday and continuing through the first 5 Sundays in Lent, with a goal to restock Eagles Essentials before Easter.

There is a list below of some suggested snacks, but any healthy, nonperishable, easy to grab-and-go snacks will be appreciated.

What are some appropriate snacks?

  • Granola bars
  • Cereal bars
  • Peanut butter crackers (or other nut butter crackers)
  • Cheese crackers
  • Dried fruit
  • Nuts or Trail Mix
  • Kind Bars, Larabars, or similar protein or energy bars
  • Dry Roasted Edamame
  • Single-serving microwaveable soup

Feel free to be creative, but please try to avoid the very sugary snacks, like candy or cookies. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Ann Robinson at mar1mo@aol.com. We will collect snacks in the vestibule of the Meeting House on Sundays. You can also drop off snacks at the Scott Building during the week.
